Week 6: A Picture A Day

I saw this on my way to school. The pretty pink door caught my attention. It really pops out from the white walls. Maybe I should try adding this colour yo my all white bedroom

This can be found at the design centre near Bugis. I have always been curious to what the use of those ledges found beneath the windows are used for. Hinging them together won't help with anything, so what is it there for?

On Friday, the class and i went to the Singapore Art Museum. This cool exhibit caught my attention. Later, I found out that it was actually supposed to resemble whale's earwax. I learnt that you can analyse the health of a whale by the colour of its earwax and that is verycool. This artist really  thought out of the box to depict how human's actions affect marine life.

This was hung up in a book store in Bras Basah. It looks very pretty and enables people to see the pictures from every angle they stand at. If possible, I would like to make something like this to have in my house to display family pictures.

I was in class when I turned behind and saw this. The silhouette of the building looks like something creepy from Harry Potter.

This was outside Bras Basah. The creeping plant on these grids grew some flowers and it looks really nice. I could create a sculpture inspired by this.

I snapped this panoramic photo from my room's window. One side was sunny while the other was raining. It gave a cool contrast and reminded me of an impending war that's about to come.

Reflection:
There are many things that we can take from and adapt into our own designs or creations, who knows, we might even come up with something original. Originality comes about when you stitch up numerous and countless of ideas from others to form your own, these numerous ideas can be found everywhere, if we just look hard enough and know where to look for them. Maybe try to see things from a different angle, like taking a seat facing backwards in a bus that you take often and look out the window. You would get to see things in an entirely different point of view and see something new.
