Week 7: Simile Vs. Metaphor

Simile

   -something is like something
A simile is a comparison using connecting words such as "like" and "as", but it is not quite as strong as a comparison as a metaphor.
eg. as clean as a whistle

Metaphor

   - something is something
A Metaphor is a comparison saying things are something not literally.
   eg. hair was silk

Reflection:
Similes and Metaphors are great to use in everyday conversations and essay writings to give a colourful expression and to also give the impression of being knowledgable. I really like to read up on similes as they are fun and intriguing, they give a different perspective in life.
